Nestled in the lush greenery of Rizal Park, the 100-year old edifice of Manila Hotel is a historical landmark, having housed many heads of state and royalty for the past decades.
It now also boasts of newly renovated areas and modern amenities.
The challenge
The Manila Hotel carries a century of history beside Rizal Park, having hosted heads of state and royalty. A recent renovation introduced modern amenities, but the hotel's social presence needed to signal that refresh without discarding the gravitas that defines the brand. The task was to present a contemporary face on Facebook while keeping the sense of occasion and heritage that guests associate with the property.
Our approach
We anchored the work in the hotel's architectural detail and its restrained, classic palette, then layered in cleaner typography and more open compositions to read as current. The Timeline cover set the tone, framing the building as a living landmark rather than a museum piece. Selected campaign posters extended that language across announcements and seasonal moments, each one balancing formal photography with a lighter, more invitational hierarchy. The intent throughout was continuity: a refreshed surface over an established identity, never a reinvention of it.
The outcome
The cover and poster set gave the hotel a social identity that felt both modern and recognizably itself. The refreshed look sat comfortably alongside the property's renovation story, presenting the heritage as an asset rather than a constraint and giving the marketing team a consistent visual baseline to build on.
