The Panahon Mobile Application allows you to view weather updates coming straight from PAGASA!
The challenge
Panahon TV's mobile app delivers weather updates sourced from PAGASA, the Philippine weather bureau. The interface had to make official forecast data quick to read and easy to trust at a glance, often in moments when people most need clear information. The core challenge was presenting dense weather data, conditions, and updates without overwhelming users or burying the details that matter.
Our approach
We designed the UI around fast, glanceable comprehension: clear hierarchy, legible figures, and recognizable weather cues that let users grasp current conditions immediately. Screens were organized so the most urgent information surfaced first, with deeper detail available without clutter. Layout and type were kept simple and high-contrast for readability across devices and conditions, and the visual treatment reinforced the credibility of PAGASA-sourced data. The aim was an app that felt dependable and calm rather than busy.
